Featuring a 303 horsepower, 389 cubic inch V8, this distinctive sedan was designed to please the male head of the household, yet would accommodate up to 5 passengers. From 1962 through 2008 Pontiac’s sporty Grand Prix enjoyed a long, successful run as a performance-minded, family vehicle. Originally a muscle car, the full-size Grand Prix had morphed into a smaller vehicle by its 6th generation, with a 200 hp V6 engine, before briefly being replaced by the G8 in 2008. Pontiac itself was in trouble and was dissolved in 2010 as part of GM’s Chapter 11 reorganization.
